Well we've taken your suggestions, inspected ski journals, searched the internet, played Ouija, consulted with Allah, called special councils ... and we're going to Jackson Hole, WYOMING.
10,450' summit, 2,500 acres of inbounds terrain, 4,139' vertical rise, 459" of average snowfall, 116 named trails, 40% single-diamond difficulty, 10% double-diamond difficulty, backcountry gate system with 3000+ acres, Grand Targhee only 50 miles away ..
Since most were indifferent to dates of last week Feb08 or first week March08, we'll start pricing lodge and air info and go with the cheaper week.
And remember:
1. Alert me to other skiers and boarders that I may have missed.
2. Dust off and inspect your equipment and travel gear. Buy more if necessary.
3. Renew subscriptions to Powder, Transworld, Backcountry magazines.
4. Commence daydreaming.

Early Trip Prep
Things to be thinking about:
1. Luggage. Generally you are allowed ONE checked bag and ONE ski bag. You can only take ONE pair of skis in a bag. Checked bags are limited to 50 pounds without fee. Think light.
2. Passport (if non-U.S. trip). Make sure it's current. Make a photocopy and bring along in case of loss.
3. Credit Card (if non-U.S. trip). Many companies are charging extra 3% foreign purchase transaction fee. This is applied to every transaction. Some cards like Capital One waive this fee .. so may be time to pick up a new card.
